The Red Eagles secured an important 2-0 win over Ghazl El Mahalla thanks to two goals from Percy Tau and Bruno Savio on Wednesday night in the Egyptian Premier League. 

We are atop of the table with five wins from five matches in a stunning start to the league season for Marcel Koller's men. 

Ali Maaloul returned to the starting line-up after completing his duty with the Tunisian national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 

The Red Eagles created many chances to score in the first 15 minutes and it was obvious that our attacking players were in a good mood.  

In the 17th minute, Maaloul showed everyone what it means to have him in the left flank as he sent a fantastic cross to Percy Tau leaving the South African only needing to make a slight touch to score.

In the 30th minute, our Brazilian winger Bruno Savio doubled the score with a beautiful touch. 

Maaloul passed the ball to Ahmed Abdelkader who dribbled El Mahalla's defender and sent a cross that reached Savio who was in the perfect place to score. 

A fascinating performance in the first half followed by another strong start to the second half as Savio added the third goal but it was disallowed by VAR. 

Our players dominated the second half and tried to add the third goal and avoid conceding a goal. 

It was a good night at El Mahalla as we returned with three points in the bag from a difficult stadium.
